Welcome from down in Gold Canyon. We were at the Payson campground about six weeks ago. Did some hiking on the rim.

A friend from Montana, Bob Hall, parents live in Gold Canyon. Been by your town, have never been there. Yes, we do have good hiking here and we'd like to get down and hike in the Superstitions some time.

Hi Payson
Hi Payson!
Paulden is a wide spot in the road on Hwy89 30 miles north of Prescott and 8 miles north of Chino Valley. We are largely rural with just one Family Dollar and 2 gas stations and one post office. And lots of cows, pronghorn and dirt roads of which we live off one.
Enjoyed visiting Payson area a few years ago; stayed at a forest service campground in our first trailer, an Aliner Expedition. We have since moved up to much larger and well, more comfy trailers. We hope to get back to that area this spring for more than a 2 niter weekend.
Happy Camping!!

I guess that I've been through your town a couple of times and just didn't remember the name. We rode motorcycles through there one Saturday and my wife and I came south from I-40 one time; Mary had never been between I-40 and Prescott. We've only been in Payson 2 1/2 years. We moved here for Bozeman, MT in June of 2013. We finally figured out the that the ducks and geese knew what they were doing.

Yes, it is beautiful country - it's known around here as Rim Country for the Mogollon Rim. Lots of great places to camp on the rim in the Tonto Nat. Forest. And we have lakes too!
