Hello from PNW

Just purchased My Wildwood 26BHXL a month or so back. Been a great trailer so far. I wanted to jump on the forums to figure an issue. Recently the batteries drained from a few lights being left on. I didn't have the trailer plugged into the house at the time. Now that the trailer is plugged in my wireless remote to operate the slide out, awning and jacks etc.. is no longer working. The remote is fully charged, turns on and so forth, just no response from anything. I suspect the system needs to resync, I just cant seem to find where the primary controller is. Any help will be great.

thanks.
Travis

Welcome to the forums from SW Idaho.

Have you had the battery tested for a full charge?

How long were the lights left on?

Also have you seen this yet?

If so the tiny black button needs to be pushed.
Not sure it that is it but it will not hurt to check.

I have not seen that item. where would it typically be located?

the battery drain was truly my fault, the batteries are new from the dealer.

Between the battery and the body, it may be bolted to the hitch frame.
It is so small it could be most any place so look in the battery box.

Hello and welcome to the forums.
I just purchased a Wildwood in Feb, disconnected the battery for a couple weeks and when I reconnected the remote still worked. Does the remote go through a series of indicator flashes, I believe that is how it syncs to the system. Does everything work using the wall switches?

Yea I scoured the entire trailer and I am not seeing this. Each of the electronic jacks have something similar yet neither have a button.

No indicator flashes of any sort. The remote just turns on, I enter in a generic code and I get to the GUI where I can select the various items like slide out etc..

everything does work with the wall switches.

The only other thing recently we had the undercoating sprayed on. Not sure how or why that would be related

Welcome! The main battery breaker that Ford Idaho mentioned can be found by following the main power cable that connects to your batteries. If I'm not mistaken your rig has an enclosed underbelly. If so, on most rigs you have to drop the underbelly to get access to the frame mounted breaker. At least mine does.

That's good to know for future reference, but I don't think that is your issue today. If your rigs systems are working with the manual switches then it's most likely an issue with your remote. If it's not included with your owners info sheets then I would contact your dealer to find out how to reprogram/re-sync your remote... OR... you might get better information by contacting the maker of the remote system.

I did see a junction box mounted under the trailer about a foot from the battery boxes. I will call the dealer again tomorrow. I tried the manufacturer of the remote system and they couldn't help until I found the controller box.

ok I found this inside a junction box about a foot back from battery on the inside of the frame driver side. There was no button present on this unit.

That is fine, the information you posted after I posted that said the breaker was not the issue.

It is good that you know where it is just the same.

Ditto. That is by far the #1 most overlooked breaker and is very easy to trip when connecting/disconnecting a battery. That is another advantage to installing a battery disconnect switch.

on my fuse panel there is one labeled Controller, I pulled this fuse and put it back in and my remote is now working correctly. The control box for the remote is mounted below the fuse panel behind the cover. I was unable to locate an actual reset button due to how everything was hooked up mounted. I called the dealer back this morning and they couldn't even tell me where to look which is extremely frustrating.
