Hello from RVLock Keyless

Many Forest River units come with our RVLock keyless handle system as a standard feature and many other Forest River customers have purchased and installed the handle on their units themselves. We appreciate all the Forest River owners that use our handle and would like to make ourselves available for any questions they may have. We appreciate the opportunity to receive feedback and assist in any way.

Will they work on motor homes? I looked at your web site and it only mentions trailers, 5th wheels and campers. It looks like it would work on most motor homes as well.

I installed your keyless entry as a replacement to the oem model that never really worked properly. I have been very happy with it so far. My only issue is that on coaches with full body paint the RV lock does not always cover the unpainted surface covered by the original door mechanism.

Replaced our lock on CC 36 last year, is there a replacement cover for the touch pad? Ours is showing a lot of wear on the four digits used for code.

I purchased the lock system at last years FROG Rally and installed it at the fairgrounds with no problem. Traded from a TT to a 5th wheel in March of this year and transfered the lock sytem to the 5th wheel with no problems. Works great.

We have the stock unit that is made from a competitor that came with our unit on the front door. At last years Hershey Show we loved the key FOB and keypad and bought your lock to replace the other unit. Nothing wrong with it, just got moved to the back door now. We love the convenience of it. We just changed the batteries in the remote keypas and the lock for the first time after a year of HEAVY usage.

The only thing that sometimes drives me nuts.. The BEEP! that it lets out when it locks and unlocks. It is loud sometimes at night when it is all quiet out there! LOL I wish I could either turn it down a few decimals or shut it off.

Definitely an A++ product, welcome!

I talked to them in May (2015) and they said they were still working on the design and would probably be another six months or so.

We are excited to be adding the Class C keyless system to our product line early this fall. I do not have an exact release date at this time but please check back with our website and I will also post here when it releases.

Depending on the handle you have, it is possible to get a replacement cover for the touch pad. Our latest version, the V4.0, has the keypad built into the handle and you can get a replacement cover for this handle. If you have the wireless keypad version that has the keypad separate from the handle then the cover can not be replaced.
If you have the handle with the built in keypad contact our customer service at support@rvlock.com and they can help you with that replacement.

I'm glad you have been happy with our handle! As far as the handle not covering the unpainted surface, we have a vinyl gasket available that can be added between the handle and the RV door that will fill in that extra space. Contact our customer support team at support@rvlock.com and they can assist you with that.

I bought your lock last year from LCI at the Goshen rally, then returned it back to them when we found out it's too short to cover the hole from our original FIC lock:

We still really like the concept, so are there any plans for a compatible model with our sized handles?

We are not planning to be at the Rally in Goshen this year. Lippert will offer older versions of our handle at their booth but the only way to get our current, V4.0, handle is directly from our website.

It's hard to tell sometimes from a picture but your existing handle's outside dimensions should be around 3.5″ wide/4.25″ tall. I could provide you with more information if you could share what RV model you have.

Thanks so much for joining the Forum!

(Or perhaps a representative from your company attending?)

Wish List:
I wish someone would come out with a keyless lock system for the "basements" and outdoor kitchens in our RVs

I, too, bought the keyless lock from Lippert last year and, like Kaadk, had to return it because it did not fit our door. Our rig particulars are in my sig below.
