Hello from San Diego

Hello everybody. I have been looking on here for a few weeks as we research a new trailer and have already learned a lot. My wife and I are just about ready to put a deposit on a Roo 19. We had a Jayco popup but are ready to move up to a HTT.

I am a middle school teacher and my wife teachers high school so we enjoy camping on our breaks and in the summer. We have a daughter in kindergarten and a daughter in preschool that both love camping at the beach and up in the mountains. I am really looking forward to taking them out to the desert before it gets too hot so they can actually see stars.

We look forward to spending more time on here as we continue to learn (and probably make a bunch of mistakes too).

Welcome to the Roo Crew!
We bought our Roo 23SS over 9 years ago, when we lived in California.
Suggest you set it up for dry camping, since California State Parks' campgrounds have very few sites with any hookups.

Ours has two deep cycle batteries, a 400w inverter, 6 gallon FW jug, a 15 gallon tote tank and a Honda 2000w inverter generator.
We can camp w/o hookups for at least 2 weeks straight.

Welcome from Wisconsin. We had a HTT when the kids were home and loved the shorter tow length, open feeling of a pup and amenities of a TT.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Bikedan, thanks for the advice. The dealer already has the unit on order and we are going to stop by Sunday to place our deposit. According to our dealer, we are looking at a late January/early February delivery. We are really excited.
