Hello from South Texas

Been reading the threads in this forum for a week or so now and absolutely love it, the Iowa to Alaska thread is excellent and makes me want to quite the job and hit the road right now. Twenty more years till retirement guess I have plenty of time to prepare. The DW and I are trading our Keystone Springdale in for a new Flagstaff Classic 831FKBSS tomorrow morning and can't wait. Look forward to the upgrade in quality. This is a great forum, lots of good info, glad to be a part of it.

Had a couple of mods done before we picked up the tt, max airs on all three vents, extra crank down scissor jacks in front of the tires for extra stabilization, awning support in the middle since it's 21' long i've seen them bend in the middle over time from traveling.

Thanks, That was on my must have list, debating about adding slide toppers to help keep the hot Texas sun off the slide roof

That's what I've heard is one of the drawbacks, one salesman told me when it's windy some people take beach balls and inflate them enough to fit under each end of the topper. Sounds like a lot of work to me, think I'll stick with the broom for now and see how it goes.

Thanks, we almost bought a v-lite, love the use of interior space but the outside storage on ours won out. First trip is Labor day weekend, heading to Lake Somerville state park, cant wait. We spend a lot of time in the hill country DW family lives in Kerrville, beautiful country but not much level ground to park a TT lol
