Hello from Sugar Land, TX

In the process of purchasing a 2015 Columbus 320RS and should take possession on 7/16. Really looking forward to this new experience with the new rig. In looking at reviews this seems to be good one. Hopefully my experience will be the same as many of you. Looking forward to going through the threads to see what I might do to make the best use of the unit. While I admit I haven't looked at the threads yet, do have a question that I would assume has come up before. There is not a visible "P" trap under ether of the sinks (kitchen or bath.) I looked at other Columbus models and they don't have them either. What do you do about the possibility of sewer smell? Am I missing something. Point me to the threads if you know of any that I can review.

Thanks and looking forward to getting back to camping.

So it's called a Hepvo valve. Went digging and found the answer. Appears to be a simple device. Just hope it works as advertised.

Once in awhile effluent may wedge the Silicon rubber flap open and allow gases to backflow. I just use a couple of ozs of bleach down the trap and flush out in 10-20 minutes later. Works well as does trap normally.
