Hello From Sunny South Florida

DW and I are in the research phase of buying a Fifth Wheel. We have seen sooo many! Getting ready to purchase, going fulltime.

Greetings from Indiana. We just bought our first fifth wheel and are picking it up tomorrow so we know what you are going through. It is pretty exciting looking at all the different models.

Good luck on your research!

All depends on how comfortable you feel with the space and layout. We found out that bigger IS better after we initially purchased a Flagstaff 8289 IWKS. Turned out it was a tight fit and the bedroom brought out my claustrophobia .... We also determined that we really, really liked a front living room layout. Getting our Cedar Creek 38FL ready for full time May 1st. Happy hunting!!

When we shopped, we had a spreadsheet of 60+ models that we kept track of key features that were important to us. We made notes as we walked through some and/or contacted manufacturers to get clarification on things.

The other thing that you might do - if you haven't already - is go to the biggest RV show near you. Saves a lot of gas and you'll find out that it's a copycat business - different manufacturers will have nearly identical floor plans and amenities

If this is your first RV, the truth is you don't know what you want or need until after you have one or two. I wish you all the best on your hunt, happy camping and

Or 3, or 4, or 5 and counting!
But there's nothing like "hunting" for your new or next rv!
