Hello from SW Ga!

My family, 5, have been camping since 2001. We bought a Viking Pop-Up and moved up to a Coachmen Spirit of America about 5 years ago. Last week we bought a 2014 Coachmen 29SE which comes with 4 bunk beds in the rear. We usually try to stay at state parks in Georgia or Florida. We are looking at a state park in Alabama, my home state. Why is camping so great? Because even though my two oldest kids are 23 and 26, they still love to go camping with us!! We don't tell our 9 year old girl we are going camping till the night before, or she will worry us to death about "when" we are leaving!! LOL!!

That is so funny... we can't tell our five year old that we are camping until right before, too. Otherwise, "when are we leaving", "where are we going", when are we going", "are we ready". Today he is going on a planned trip to Lego Land with his cousins, and he had no idea until 20-mins ago. I'm glad we aren't alone in this deception!

Welcome to the forum.

We just made a trip down through Alabama. We had a great time and saw some incredible places and things.

Camped at Monte Sano SP at Huntsville and at Oak Mountain SP at Birmingham, and loved them both!
