Hello from Texas

Just wanted to say hello to the Forest River Forum. I have been lurking around ever since I order our new 8289ws on January 17th, Our 2005 Outback just pulled out of the driveway towed away by the new owners, so we are currently without camper. Hopefully RVW will call soon to let us know our new one is ready to pick up in Ohio. Until then will be making list for PDI, and looking at pictures of our new unit online, and not so paitently waiting. They said 7-8 weeks, which seems like a lifetime, been 3 weeks now and have not heard anything. If all goes as planned we can pick up while DD is out for spring break in March.

You better be within the speed limit when driving thru Weatherford - Texas Troopers like that place.

Welcome

Hi, wife and I are new to both the forum and RVing. Was probably a little sad when your TT left. But you've got a new one to look forward to!

It was a little sad to see it go, but like you said the excitement of the new arrival by far outweighs that. This will be our 3rd one, started with a Hybrid, then the Outback TT , Now the Rockwood 5th wheel. This will be our first brand new one, cant wait to get camping..

You are right about that, but even worse just to the east in Willow Park, the local police there watch the freeway like hawks.. I guess everybodys got to make a living somehow..

How is Hudson Oaks for speed limit - I always get WP and HO mixed up for boundaries.

Hudson Oaks does not seem to patrol freeway. As you said State troopers run from there west . Willow Park on the other hand watch out.
