Hello from Texas!

Hello from Texas, my name is Bryan. My wife Lauren and I just purchased the Rockwood mini lite 2109S. This will be our first travel trailer. Well I guess I can tell you all my boring story lol It all started last year when I started talking my wife in to tent camping. She didn't really enjoy the heat, so I had to duck an AC in to the tent :/ Being a country boy never needed it for myself. So I remembered the words that was passed to me from my father in law "YES DEAR" So then the mother in law and father in law wanted to go camping. So they ended up buying a cheap pop up. That lasted two trips and they up graded to a 27 ft Roo. So we were getting dumped on by the rain and had to cancel trips because of the weather. Well two weekends ago we were at a state park and our tent leaked, and we ran to the truck at 1:30 in the morning. While we were running I dislocated my toe, I then popped it back in place. I remember wanting to just leave the tent and drive home lol So we decided to buy a 2014 mini lite to keep us both dry, safe and happy lol We pick it up this week after
my travel trailer class. We are so excited!

Welcome and congrats on your new RV! Hope you have many happy trips with it!

We just got back from an 11 day trip and it was wonderful to be inside, safe and dry in the rain, warm on cool nights! As hubby says, in the middle of the night he "goes from the bedroom through the living room to the bathroom" and I "go from the bedroom through the kitchen to the bathroom!!"

We have the same model you have - highly recommend a memory foam topper on the bed and an Oxygenics shower head!

Again, welcome to the forum and having a great bunch of people out there who will help when needed!

Welcome Bryan and Lauren. Where in Texas are you that you're getting rain? That stuff has been hard to come by lately. Anyway, good to have you aboard, and hope to see you down the road!

I hope my truck will handle the tow, the sales guy said it would. I have only towed a boat a few times with my truck. I have a 05 Dodge ram 1500 quad cab 4x4 5.7l V8 Hemi.

I'm just up the road from you up the Eastex, and truthfully, we've done pretty well here with the rain. But it is good to hear out in the Hill Country that they're getting some too. They need it a lot worse than we do, especially Lake Medina, Lake Travis, and others in that area.

Your truck should have no problem handling that trailer.

You're correct. When we got there, it was dry and hot. But then

Welcome... we were at Guadalupe River SP the same weekend. It rained a lot Saturday night... and there were tent campers around us. We heard some grumbling the next morning. We had one couple stop by and told us they were long-time tenters but had enough of it, and asked a lot of questions about our TT. It is so nice to be off the ground, dry, and warm... or cool... as the season dictates.

Enjoy your new toy!

LOL Wife and I and the in laws purchased them from Toppers. Thanks for the heads up on the remotes. Soon as we get one trip under our belts, wouldn't mind having a rally lol We are rookies
