Although I have posted a few questions previously, I wanted to make a more appropriate introduction. Our family (wife and daughter, 10 yr old) loves tent camping and have recently have had the pleasure of borrowing my dad’s 2007 Fleetwood Revolution 40LE DP MH for a 3 week FL Beaches and Disney World trip. Needless to say the post trip RV bug was biting us pretty hard. Although I really enjoyed the MH (and dad was thinking about selling it), wife wasn’t comfortable driving it, and there was no dedicated personal space for our daughter (this was the biggest issue). Sure she had a place to sleep, but every night you had to make the bed, and every morning had to take up the bed, etc. We looked at smaller MH, and Class Cs bunkhouses….but I am 6’7’’ and weren’t having success finding the right match. So that led us to looking at 5’ers….now we are the proud owners of a 2014 Brookstone 340LS.
We took our inaugural trip a few miles down the road to Cedar Hill State Park. Had a great time camping and learning about our new rig. Only real issues were the 24 hour, 60 degree change. Saturday highs were in the 80s…..Sunday, snow, ice, sleet, thunder and temps in the 20s.
Filled the fresh water tank, disconnected water hoses, turned the furnace up, and enjoyed our new rig.
Looking forward to future discussions with this great crowd
