Hello from the KC Metro area, too! :)

Steven and Ginger here from Lee's Summit. We purchased a 2011 Flagstaff 26FKSS for use mainly as a part time country home while working towards building a permanent residence on a family acreage in a couple years. We won't be moving it much except to readjust it or re-position it, but our tow vehicle is a Ram 1500 4x4 with a hemi engine and trailer towing package.

We've been out there a few times now and really enjoy its comfort and the amenities it has to offer. However, we're working through the anxiety of getting to know the systems of the trailer and proper maintenance. We're looking forward to browsing this site as a resource for keeping our trailer in shape.

Welcome to FRF!!

we're looking at your model for our next RV and we like a lot about it and the Rockwood twin version.
the DW would prefer recliners instead of the sofa and doesn't feel like the sofa would be comfortable enough, compared to a recliner.
do you think an ottoman would make it more comfortable? do you have any issues with the sofa being 90 degrees to the tv?
do you find that a lack of pantry is an issue? we were thinking of putting shelves in the cabinet by the front door and make it a pantry.

thanx for any info.

The sofa pulls out into a queen-sized, air-mattress accommodating bed. Its comfortable, but yes, I'd say an ottoman would make it more so with two people sitting on it. Our TV pulls out from the wall and can be pivoted to @70 degrees to give the sofa a better view. That being said, we probably would have preferred two separate chairs that could be re-positioned to either face the tv or even facing the dinette and kitchen (when a guest drops by for a visit).

At this point, the lack of pantry space isn't an issue, but we don't do a lot of actual cooking in it. I would say that if we used the stove, oven, and microwave on a regular basis then I could see how lack of pantry space could be an issue. Good idea on adding shelves to the "closet-like" cabinet by the door.
