Our daughter lives in Anchorage, and we visited Alaska many times, always flying. This time we will go cross country. We will take our time - 3 weeks on the road there, and stay 14-20 days with grandkids and then mosey on back. We plan to take 2.5 gal. can of diesel fuel because out in the Territories the gas stations may be far apart. We can go only about 380 miles per tankfull. Anyone has experience with this?

We are leaving June 17 for Alaska. We are going from Denver to Oroville, WA, then up Hwy 97 to Prince George and the Cassiar Hwy to Watson Lake to meet the Alcan. Check out "Roll Call Alaska 2013" on rv.net for a long list of other travelers on the Alcan this summer.

Welcome,
Ace Hardware is another option for refills. RV dealers, some old gas stations etc. Enjoy your new toys.
