Being born and raised in "Upstate NY" I always used the Upstate when people asked where I was from. There's a world of difference between "Upstate NY" and "Downstate NY" - people,topography,prices etc.

Welcome Ny from Jefferson county NY also upstate. Lake Ontario, St Lawrence river and the Adirondack Mountains. Congrats on your new camper have fun.

Born and raised in Ogdensburg and both parents and sister are Canadian. Think I'm a little bit more Eh ! lol

I was stationed at Plattsburgh AFB in 1963 and 1964 and went to Montreal more than once - does that get me into the Canadian category?

I was in Vancouver BC in 1986 for three days doing the tourist thing.
Does that count....  .....  .....

Sorry not close enough but Glad you were here to protect us when you were here. Montreal doesn't count as Canada ask them they will tell you it is the sovereign Province of Quebec.

I'm thinking being Canadian is a pretty exclusive thing and transients like us don't count.

So you were there just prior to the closing of it. I was transferred to Plattsburgh from Dyess AFB due to the phasing out of the B47. Plattsburgh and Pease AFB were the last two B47 bases.
I was in the 380th Organization Maintenance Squadron.
Beautiful country? Yeah the one month of Summer is great.
