Hello from Vancouver Island
Hello All,
Recently widowed, I sold the family home, gave most possessions to my 2 sons and bought a Cedar Creek 38RD which is now home. It is semi-permanently set up in a seaside RV park, close by the Comox Air Force base. I also have a 34' motorhome in which my new (lady) companion and I travel, mostly in Western Canada and the Yukon.
We both like to fish, (fresh and salt water) explore and visit new locations. Don't miss the work and responsibilities associated with owning a home - at all.
One son (together with wife and 2 grandsons) is only an hour away while the other (wife and 2 more G'kids) is a 2 day drive, up to northern B.C.
Owning an RV is not new but the 38RD is definitely an experience. We have every option including a 4500W generator, handy more than once this winter, in our windy coastal area. The coach has been almost trouble free, except for several defective ceiling lights. Everyone who has viewed it is in awe of the conveniences and roominess.
Glad to have finally hooked up with this forum and happy to share advice, experience etc.
