Hello From Very Cold Boston (-5 degrees)

Good morning,
New to the forum,
New to Coachmen Campers ..
My Wife and our two boy's have been camping in our 1995 Fleetwood Wilderness for some time now.
We head up to Conway New Hampshire, and the Lakes Region at least 4 or 5 times a year with at least 2 of the trips being full long week trips.
After this past season we came to realize that the Boy's are getting bigger, and the room in the Fleetwood was getting smaller lol.
So we did some looking around ( quite a bit in fact ) and found a very nice, well cared for used 2010 Coachmen Captiva 271FKS that was a one owner resent trade in at one of our local southern New Hampshire RV Dealers.
The floor plan is exactly what my wife and I were looking for, and it was clearly a well cared for trailer.
So we hooked up the old wilderness, brought it up, and did the deal.....
Now I have a camper I'm dying to get out and use and all I can do is look at it till spring time lol.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to hearing what you all might think about our choice for a new Camper, I did quite a bit of research before we pulled the trigger on it, found a ton of information on the Coachmen Captiva trailers, all good information, for some reason I just cant seem to find much on our particular model, there was a bunch on the 288FKS, but not a lot on our 271FKS. So any insight from you all would be great.
I'm looking forward to learning a lot from you all, I love the forum, and I'm very proud to me a new Coachmen Captiva Owner.
( I just wish it was Spring time :-)

Thank you,
Marty & Jean Miller,
Patrick, Cody,
and our 8 year old yellow lab "Hunter Von Miller"

Happy Camping all

Hello from Vegas!

Minus 5? Ouch! Only got up to 72 on Friday - had to take off my sweatshirt. Lol!

But...when everything finally defrosts you guys have beautiful camping areas with colors and trees and stuff. We have dirt, brown and small weeds (desert trees).

Time to hit amazon and find all new stuff to fill your new unit.

Hello to Kentucky, Wisconsin and Nevada as well,

You are absolutely right Hondaman, Even though we're frozen in up here in New England right now, We are blessed to be able to camp here, It's absolutely amazing to work and live so close to such a large city as Boston, and then be able to hook up the camper and be in Conway N.H., or the coast of Maine in a matter of 3 or 4 hours, It's honestly a different world up there, we absolutely love it .......

It's nice to hear from everyone,
Enjoy your Sunday ...

Snowy rainy cold Monday here today,
I've had fun the last few days reading the forum, and learning a lot about the forest river family.
So thank you to all....
Although our "new to us" Coachmen is winterized for the season, and sitting in the side yard, I still find myself going out and doing little things to it here and there.
As much as I love our snowy New England winters, I can't help but wish for spring to get here ...

Thanks for all the welcomes ....

Happy Monday to all
