Hello from Washington state

Hello to all. Wife and I live in little town of Toledo Wa. Just joined this site as we are in the process of purchasing our 2017 crusader 340 rst. I was supposed to take delivery today but had a phone call yesterday saying that the auto leveler is not working. Hope it will be ready by Tuesday . Do any of you have any information good or bad about this 5th wheel. Purchased this over internet so haven't even seen it yet. Did look at different manufacturers with same floor plan an we really like it. Not a total newbie we took a trip to Zion national park and back this year with our older Montana 2859rk and are looking forward to a newer and larger unit. Tow vehicle is 2008 duramax 3500 crew cab SWR. Any comments are appreciated. Thanks. Eldon

Well got to pickup my 5th wheel today. 2017 crusader 340rst. Now my problem did the walk around and ask a lot of question. Doors were still open and I found out which key fit what lock. I checked dead bolt in main door but don't remember trying the latch key. Put keys in pocket and went in to sign papers. While I was in the worker pulled slides in and got it ready to roll. After I finished signing everything I went out and it was all ready to go. Main door was locked at latch. Got in truck and drove 200 miles home. Got home and tried to unlock door. Key will not unlock door. I can hear the dead bolt sliding in and out but key will not unlock latch. Any idea s what is going on??? Eldon

Not sure on your setup but our Forester has two different keys one for deadbolt and one for latch. May have to play with the key a bit too. They have a little wiggle room and need to hit the right spot. Just a thought.

Congrats and hope you get it all figured out.

Locked door

Well got the mystery figured out. I was wondering how they locked the door when I had keys in pocket, figured they might have had master key. The problem is the stricter needs to be adjusted, I had to push on door and then pull on latch and it opens. To close you have to slam the door shut, so just a minor adjustment

Cool. Glad to hear you got it. Our door operates different in the driveway than it does when all leveled up as well. The small learning experiences have started [emoji3]

Glad to hear it worked out for you. That would be a gut wrenching moment to realize you may not have the key!!!

Welcome to the forum from Missouri. Enjoy your new 2017 crusader 340rst.
If the problem you had with your lock is what I am thinking, you might want to put some loc tight on the bolt you had to adjust. On my former RV door latch one of the screw's backed out and caused the door to jam and not release. It worked ok after making a small adjustment but the screw was really loose and could vibrate in or out. Loc tight on the threads would fix this.
Good luck!
