Hello from Winchester VA

Greetings from Winchester VA in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley.

My wife and I purchased a 2004 Flagstaff 8528 RLSS fifth wheel over the winter to place on our seasonal lot at Colonial Beach VA which is about 40 miles upstream on the Potomac River fom where it empties into the Chesapeake Bay.

I'm a retired Navy mustang with enlisted and officer service on six different aircraft carriers all over the world. The XYL ( ham radio term for wife ) is a teacher / librarian who has taught in several countries overseas and stateside. I second careered as a miner and wife still works also.

We hope to take Casablanca ( the rig has a white interior that the wife fell in love with ) out west when we retire in a few years and maybe snowbird. Hope to post some pics soon.

We are camp hosting at Shenandoah River State Park very close to you. A great place for a shakedown trip for your new rig.
In July we are heading north to upper Michigan and than west to Yellowstone, etc.

Hey ya'll and welcome to the madness! Wifey and I absolutely love the valley area and have a boy attending V-Tech. Go Hokies! One of our favorite stopover campgrounds is the scenic Walnut Hills KOA in Staunton.

I am down in NoVA, but spend a lot of time just outside Winchester/Berryville at Summit Point Raceway. So I could consider the track a seasonal spot for me, but I still get out and about. So far on the trip plans is Luray Caverns in late May, and somewhere for July 4th
