Hello to all!
Hi,
I just picked up a Salem Cruise Lite 273QBXL and like it a lot!
Just one thing I can not figure out, the TV antenna on top does not have the knobs below to turn it, it is always standing straight up, but looks like a directional antenna. Anyone else have this?
Thank you all,
Ken

Welcome.
Yep, a bunch of us have them. It's a bat wing, but it's stationary. You can't aim it. A lot of people have changed them out to the old models or gone to power actuated units. Some have also gone to external pole mounted units in order to get better reception.

Newbe Questions
Thank you, Bama!
So its called a bat wing, I just could not find anything on the Web that looked like it. But now I have a name to search on.
Thank you all for this forum, a lot of help. I picked it up last Saturday and asked them to put 1/2 tank of water in it and had to use it all up last Saturday night. It did sway a little with no water, so now I know it does a lot better with water in the tank.

We have the same trailer! We love it. Can you take a photo of what you are describing? Out antenna does raise and lower. It also turns 360 degrees. I'm not at the house right now or I would snap a photo. If I get by there in a bit I'll upload a picture.
Happy camping and I hope you love your new trailer!

TV antenna
Here is the picture of my TV antenna. It does not have anything inside to rotate it.
Thank you for all your help.

Congrats & welcome! I just changed our antenna out for a King antenna w power meter. You can rotate it from inside for the best reception. Got if for $92 on Amazon. It's much better than stock and doesn't have to be raised/lowered for travel purposes.

That is different from our antenna. I will try to photograph ours today. Ours spins freely and raises and lowers.

TV Antenna
Thank you, Jason.
Strange they would put a different one on the same model.
Still learning the RV, but love it so far.
We will be camping near Mexia, Tx if the weather permits, this long weekend, hope to learn and explore the RV.
Looking forward to your picture.

So I didn't make it home until after dark to get the photo taken. Sorry but you can definitely tell it is different. What year is your model? I actually need to change my signature line. Ours is a 2017 model. Don't know if that makes a difference. The 2016 I was looking at on the dealer's lot had the same antenna. On the inside there is a hand crank on the ceiling to raise and turn it.

TV antenna
Jason,
Thank you. Mine is a 2016. But it will have to wait being changed. There is so much other ITEMS to get when I got this.
This forum has help me a lot, reading what is the best to do and what to get!
I love this floor plan and everything is working, still have to use the Microwave and Oven.
Thank you,
Ken
