I think we're gonna hit Inks next month...we are going to Lost Maples in October, and I hear the Corps of Engineers facillity at Lake Sommerville is very nice too (Rocky Creek Park). Sommerville is pretty close to you, I think. Mt brother-in-law used to go to Inks a lot and he says it's beautiful...we've never been but can't wait to go.

We're from Cedar Park (just north of Austin) and are also noob RV'rs

Inks lake is awesome and conveniently located by surrounding must sees. Echanted rock, perdanales falls, lake buchanan, llano, fredricksburg, and of course lukenbach are all within 50 miles. The lake is clean, very nice strada (quartz), and they have a handy little general store on site.

Hey yawl!
We are thinking of going to the Chisolm Trail festival in georgetown in late september. Chuck wagon cook-off, street dance w/ rick trevino, cattle drive thru the city, can't wait. Are you familar with this area and is there any RV spots in town along the san gabriel river. I found 1 at some old historical hotel but can't get in touch with anyone. Thanks for the info enjoy yourselves!
