You'll have no problem with your 5er, at anytime in Nova Scotia you are no more then a 1/2hr from the ocean.
if you like fishing communities check out the south shore, most every mile there is coves and harbours. there is also lots of CG there, one that i really enjoy is King Neptune it's about 5min drive from peggy cove, and 5min walk from ryers lobster pound.
