Hey folks

New member of the forum here. We are the new owners of a 2005 Cherokee lite, 28'. My wife and I grew up camping with our parents. I seem to remember my folks owned a Safari 5th wheel, a big one. We have two young children, 3 and 4. We really enjoy Florida's State Parks, but we are venturing out to the N ga mountains this fall. Ive enjoyed lurking about for the last few weeks, seems like the entire world of RVers are a great group of people, for the most part...

JBMac, welcome to the forum!
There is a lot of information available here along with a lot of nice people to provide the information and help. Sometimes it can get a bit snarky, but not very often at all.
If you do need help please take a look around, but if you cannot find it please ask away and someone will chime in with an answer.

Welcome to the forum...
We camp a lot in the north Ga. Mtn's. I don't know if your looking for sugestions or where you want to go, but we have camped at;
Tallulah Gorge State Park, very nice clean park.
Doll Mountain (COE) CG, we will go back there.
Have not camped at, but planning on trying Woodring (COE) CG...
Doll Mtn and Woodring are across the lake (Carters Lake) from each other.

We're going to Tallulah Gorge at the end of this month for a week. Can't wait!

While there we took a white water raft ride on the Chattooga river, the river they filmed "Deliverance". Had a blast. We didn't hear any Banjo music (thank God).

Is that a summer only thing? Sounds fun, probably too cold in Oct. I never realized that's the area where Deliverance was filmed

Not sure when the companies cut off the rafting for the season. Around here they are still running the Ocoee on weekends.

In the part of the movie where Burt Renynolds breaks his leg, looks ruff in the movie, but it is actually a fairly tame slide that dumps you into a pool, very fun.
