Hey y'all! (Newbie from the Triad in North Carolina)

Wrapping up the paperwork on a 2017 Mini Lite 2109s. Plan to tow it with a 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 with the hemi V8 and 8 speed automatic tranny. Question: do we need an equalizer hitch (like the dealer wanted us to buy) or can we use the proper height ball hitch in our receiver alone? Thanks! (If there is a better place to ask this question, let me know)

Congrats on your rig and welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. Many things affect towing I would make sure I have the tries on the Dodge to handle the weight I would go with E rating. I would also tow it whit the regular hitch and if all is good go with that if you find problems try a WDH. I use a WDH to keep my trailer level when towing.

Yes, you'll need a WDH with sway control.
Read your Ram's owners manual. The towing section should inform you.

I don't need a WDH with mine or sway control, can't answer about your truck. I certainly would try it out 1st before buying a WDH.
