HI
Just want to pop in and say hi. It seems that this is a great site to be part of.
We sold our horse trailer/camper and retired the horse and decide we wanted to continue camping without the horses. We bought a 2006 Forest River Cherokee Lite 285B+ late in 2006, our 1st "real" camper/trailer. We tow with and F-250 with V-10. We have a 2 1/2 your old little boy and a 2 yr old yellow lab...who both LOVE to camp....

I bet you will surely miss those horses. My daughter shows horses and we do a lot of "horse show camping" and some horse area campground camping it is a lot of fun. We own the horse she shows, but the lady that train her always hauls the horse to shows and we camp with them a lot always fun though

Hi RNFF; welcome. Your little guy is 2 1/2 eh? What a great age for the adventure of camping... I know our youngest was eager to get out the door come friday night!

Thanks for a great welcome.
Yes, Chevy 02, we do miss the horses, but not the work involved in camping with them. I felt as most of my weekend was spent caring for them and not having time to sit back and relax. Also with having our 2 1/2 yr old son now we don't have to convince my parents go along to watch him when we go out for a trail ride. It is fun watching him, he loves to just be outside and talking walks is also a favorite, and if there is a playground, watch out...you might as well drag a chair and a cold drink and make yourself comfortable at the playground...

yes it take a lot to care for horses at the campground with feeding and cleaning up horse crap and making sure they are shaded but then thats what my Daughter is there for lol since its for her we make her do most of the work or we be in regular campgound but she would rather clean up horse poop then clean her room go figure enjoy camping this summer and enjoy new camper
