Hi all

Hello my husband and I have had Forrest river 5 th wheels starting in 2003 ! All were great are newest one is a 2020 36 cks and love it . Just wondering if anybody else has a smell from the inside the cabinets . If we leave sealed food or clothing in them there is a smell , you can eve taste it in the food. I have wiped down all the cabinets with Clorox wipes and no change . Any ideas ?

May be the casework off-gassing. Sort of like the "new car smell" which is actually chemical vapors from the carpet, foam and plastic. The pressboard cabinetry is essentially glued hamster bedding. Ours is a 2016 and we still smell it.

Hello, We had the same problem with our 2015 Cedar Creek. After about 3 years of leaving cabinet doors open with slides out and windows open (weather permitting) the smell is going away. One tip, take anything in a cardboard packaging out of the RV when its not on the road. Pasta and cereal taste like the RV smells! Good Luck and God Bless.

Hey, welcome from a fellow noob...i don't have a camper yet, but had an odor issue in my mother's car before trying to sell it (chain smoker). My Detailer suggested fabric softeners all over the interior. After a coupe weeks, fabric softeners (they absorb odors) under the seats and in the trunk. No more cigarette smoke odor. Maybe put the fabric softeners in the cabinets and rotate them with new ones after a week or two, see how that works.
