Hi everybody

Hi my name is Gary and my wife and I just purchased a used 2004flagstaff 228d . We are new to the rv world this is our first . We have already experienced a problem with our new camper on friday the cable snapped only 1 day after purchasing it. The dealer we purchased it from is off until tuesday and the whole weekend was ruined. MY question is is this a common problem with this model or did the dealer just sell me one with a bad cable hoping it would hold until the 30 day warranty was up ?

Hi Gary and welcome to the forums!

Sorry to hear about the trouble with your Flagstaff. Which cable was it that snapped? Sounds like it should be taken care of with your 30 days warranty. As whether or not the dealer was trying to pull a fast one on you we would only be guessing. Hopefully you were feeling good about the deal being that you went through with the sale. I would recommend going over your trailer with a really good inspection ASAP so that any hidden issues can be fixed.

i'm guessing it's a popup.
you might want to post a similar question in the Popup section here, since it's a popup-specific issue.

but that's an almost 10 year-old lift system and who knows if the previous owners maintained it.
