I just wanted to say hi and introduce my self. A friend of mine just took me camping in his rv a few weeks a go and I'm hooked! I loved it I have already started saving so that I can get my very own. anyways those are my dreams and hopes, I'll see you all around!

RVing can be habit forming for sure. You can start off with renting an RV and finding out what you like or don't like about floorplans while gaining some RV experience. Also there is a big RV show coming to Pomona in October at the fairplex. There will be all kinds of RVs from popups to motorhomes.

Terier hit it on the head. In addition to renting one or more RV's to see what you like, take some time to visit dealer lots and RV shows and be sure you are in and out of all types of units so that you get a sense of what might suit you. The DW and I had so many "dates" that TT shopping became our "hobby" for awhile.

Also, make an effort to educate yourself by reading as much as you can on this forum and others.

We spent nearly two years "shopping" and many months "lurking" on RV forums (me, not the DW, as she is slightly bored by the nitty gritty details) before we made a final choice and purchased our new TT. By the time we did so, we had a good idea what we wanted and had a pretty good sense of how to use it.

We love our TT, and believe that process was a big part of our present satsifaction. Like most chapters in life, the journey can be as important as the destination. Happy travels!

Welcome to the forum. Camping is very addictive. We go as much as possible. Great way to get away and relax and meet new people. Good luck on your search for a camper that suits your needs. Take your time and look at all the different models.

When shopping around to get an idea of what woud fit your particular wants and needs, remember that when one (or two etc.) gets into RV'ing if you want to be able to tour around the area's that you camp, you will be "pulling something"! If your a pick-up type family, then a TT or 5th wheel will work nicely. If your a SUV that guy, a nice pop up or smaller lite weight TT fits the bill. If a class C, A or diesel pusher fits your wants and needs you will find yourself wanting to pull a "toad" vehicle, usually a small car either direct hook up or on a tow dolly (which is what I do). So figure out that option first then start looking at what will fit your driving style and preference. Good Luck on your search!

I let my dw decide my only input was how to tow it home.

saw a 40ft pusher motorhome with a f350cc 4x4 srw as a toad the other day.no 4wheeler in the bed, or toy of any kind. hell of a toad tho. usually just see small cars or jeeps.
