Hi folks

I've just bought a new (2015) Forest River Rockwood Ultralight 8281WS fifth wheel (we upgraded from a fleetwood pop-up), and have a 2015 Ford F-150 (Crew cab, short bed) as my tow vehicle.

Hoping to pick-up the trailer in < 2 weeks, if I can get my hitch questions/concerns resolved.

I'm going to be asking for some advice (in a few minutes, on the other forum channels) on hitch setup since the distance from the back of the cab to the axle center is so short on the 2015 F150 crew cab.

Already planning a couple of short trips for the remainder of this year, and then hoping to take a LONG road trip next summer.

Welcome. We enjoy our rockwood fiver. Pull with half ton also. Biggest draw back is the weight on the pin. If you have the revolution hitch, and activate it, turning should be OK. Take it to a large empty lot and practice turning, backing and hitching. Happy travels.
