Hi from Cowtown!

Hello all,

First off, I'm new to this site and already find it incredibly useful. I stumbled across this forum while talking to the Google on a few on my recent concerns. So far I've be able to read many members posts which has greatly helped me out. Thanks for that!

My family (wife and 2 small children) just purchased a 2010 Roo 19. As we are very excited about taking it on the road, we just completed de-winterizing the unit. Being very new to the RV world, I have a few concerns around the water heater. I've completed all the necessary steps to run the heater, however I'm smelling an odor (propane??) when kneeling down near the water heater. The electric ingnitor kept on clicking and re-flaming the heater as it was windy. As it was windy, I'm assuming the flame was being blown out and that's what I'm smelling. Being that it hasn't been used all winter, is this normal?

Cheers,
T

Wow, thanks for the quick replies!

I'll be trying out the electric this evening as I wasn't aware I had that option. Would the furnace also have an electric option? Or only LP?
