Hi, From hot AZ

Hello,
Hubby and I are currently living in a wildwood that my father just got off CL.
We are learning about living in an travel trailer and this has no manual so we are winging it.
So i will be reading a lot and learning. As well as sharing what we learn.
Thank you for having a place for us to meet.

.."hot" Arizona ? you must be from the North country - been checking the weather there (got friends who live in Arizona) and Phoenix shows temps in the 60s for a high..

these uh, less expensive, travel trailers seem to not come with owner's manuals but for the individual appliance's one can usually be found somewhere on the internet - if ya know the make and model #s.....Bill

lol = Yah not to hot today! Got to use the heater this am.
I have been searching and not finding anything yet. I mainley need help with the fuse box, water heater and just knowing what is what. Like I found some connections under the back drop table bench not connected to anything - thinking they might be for water tanks?
We are currently placed at the back of my parents property using their electric and hose water.

Did you get the water heater working? Can you take pictures of the water heater and post them?

I believe on this type wh, you have to turn the black knob to Pilot, depress and hold the red button and hold a match to the pilot on the right where the big tube goes into the wh. Once the pilot is lit, continue to press the red button for about a minute and then release. If the pilot stays lit, turn the black knob to ON. If the pilot does not stay lit, repeat the steps until it stays lit.

Do you have gas to the cook top? Is there a valve around the water heater that needs to be turned on?

Read pm.

All I can suggest is make sure the knob is on Pilot and keep pressing and holding the red button with a flame to the pilot. It takes quite a while to bleed the air out of the line.

Turn the black knob on the top to pilot and press that black knob down.
This will start releasing the propane. After a few seconds while still pushing down light the pilot light inside the hole in lower right.
Remember you are still holding down the black knob until the pilot light stays on by itself.
The flame should increase inside that chamber in the lower right where the pilot light is. Do not look directly into the hole as the flame may come out 1st when it is lit.

This may take 2 people to get it started the first time.

The red button is the reset button in case it over heated.

Hope this helps a little

Iggy is correct on holding the black knob down. I was thinking of the red button that locked the knob. Wrong type of heater. Sorry about that.

If you tried all we have suggested and you still don't smell any gas then I would think the regulator is bad or the orifice is clogged.
You also must heat up the thermo couple enogh to keep the gas going.
It may take a minute or two being it is cold.
That is the small bulb at the end of the tube inside the chamber.

From what I understand, they finally got the water heater lit and everything is now working. Thanks to Iggy for his correct instructions. Thanks Iggy!

Hi, Sorry I went MIA.
Has mom duties to take care of.
Yes, Thank you everyone for all your help! We were trying to light the gas orifice in Iggys photo. Sad thing was the video I was watching the other day showed it but I was not able o watch it to the very end when it showed the actual place for the pilot to be lit.

Hot water working great. able to take a nice shower and do dishes. It is turning on and regulating as needed. I wonder how much gas it uses and if I should shut it off durring the day or is it really worth being on/off and restarting. Will it use a lot of gas in idle (When not using the water)??
