Hi from North Texas

Can't wait to get our new Rockwood Pop up next Saturday. It's driving me crazy not having it yet. Me and the family can't wait to go camping in it. We have already been looking at the State Parks here in Texas so we can be ready to go when we pick it up. This has already been a very informative forum. I have read a lot of good information. Glad I found this forum.

from the countryside in southeast Grayson county, Texas.

You might investigate Corps of Engineers parks (and other federal parks?), also. We like their way of doing business better than state parks. You can check them out at Federal recreation, camping and tour reservation information - Recreation.gov.

When we had our pop up I bought some reflex material from home depot. ( aliumumin bubble wrap.) Cut this material to cover your vinyl on the bed slide out . Get some small spring clamps to hold it on
This will lower your inside temp 15-20 degrees in the pop up
If you like those . They make factory ones about 165.00
We are in Lancaster and are members of the North Texas Camping Association.
And Welcome

Try Cedron Creek great place to camp and the deer come right up to your camp site.It is located at Lake Whitney. To reserve camp sites at the different parks around the lake you have to go to (reserve america.com) if I am not mistaken. Congrats and happy camping 😆

Thank you bakermaker04. I will check that out.

We had it setup Saturday and Sunday working on things and practicing set-up & take down, Terier. We are hoping to go camping this weekend with it. I am sure we will think of more things as we camp with it. Can't wait. Thank you.
