Good evening. I have a friend that has been repairing and flipping motorhomes purchased through Copart. Most of the Copart vehicles are salvage titled vehicles but there are some real gems that can be had for pennies on the dollar. I rolled the dice and won an auction for one of these gems: a 2008 FR Wildcat WCT29RLS. I bought it for less than $6k. I can't stress how clean and what good shape the Wildcat is in. The decals are faded/peeling and it needs to be waxed and buffed but otherwise she's a beauty.
My new TT had minor damage from a blowout that I've mostly repaired, which was a destroyed fender skirt, some damaged pex tubing that I already cut and spliced and some bent aluminum. The padding covering the tubing was damaged and I fashioned a panel out of poly wall, rubberized it and nailed it in. Now I'm just waiting on the fender skirt.
I have a one more repair, which is the entire awning, and I'll be posting a new thread asking for a little guidance. I'm ready to become involved the community. I've been lurking for a while and I've already learned a great deal. Thanks to all of the knowledgeable and experienced members that share their wisdom and info here.
The wife and I have decided to keep our trailer at the beach. We're only two hours away and we will have the comforts of home without the high rent and mortgage. We look forward to years of happy camping.
