Hi from VA

Hello everyone! I am new to rving. Watched a RV show HGTV and my wife became interested. We are interested in a Solera. I'd like to learn more. We will seek out an RV show to get the touch, taste and feel, kid is grown, we have a small dog. I am from Texas and my wife is from the Bahamas, we enjoy wine, traveling and Texas Football.

Ciao,

Dee

Sorry. I am located in Winchester, which is about 90 mins west of DC. I just search for a RV Show and it appears there's one in Chantilly next weekend.

There is on @ the Dulles Expo Jan 11-13, One in Richmond Feb 8-10 @ the Raceway Complex & then there is one in Fredericksburg - March 1-3 - We went to all last year & will be going again this year to see all the goodies - but just bought our Sabre 34TBOK- 3 wks ago. You really need to do some internet shopping to get the best deal. Got ours out of Ohio for 20K less than they wanted locally. It was worth the drive to save the money. Good Luck & Happy Camping

Steve & Cindy mostly go to Ocean Lakes, We go there & Mayberry Campground in Mt. Airy beyond that just trying to find good places to go. Do NOT like Dan River Campground in Stoneville.

Well really enjoy Claytor Lake State Park. W & E only but great spacious sites. We also like Walnut Acres in Verona.

Just wanted to welcome the new member from Va. We are fairly new to RVing (42ft toyhauler) as well and are located (like Kritta) in Fredericksburg, Va. We got our pre-owned RV in April last year and made 6 trips, the last in November at Shanandoah Crossing in Orange VA. What a great place that is!! Our next trip is to Ashland ATV resort in Ashland, Va. the first week of April. Going atving on the Hatfield's & McCoy's trail systems. Hoping for an early spring! Happy New Year to all.

Hello and welcome. We are just across the state in WV near Martinsburg. We camp a few times a year at candy hill in Winchester. If you want to check out a few dealers before you go to the RV show keystone RV has 2 locations in state line pa. Beckleys and triangle RV in Frederick. Outdoor express in Martinsburg. You can get a good idea of what is out there.

My impressions on these shows:

Richmond is the best of the 3 by far.

Dulles is some kinda crowded. They used to have the show in 2 different buildings, but it is all crammed into 1 now. Did I mention that it is crowded ?? Gotta wait just to get into the campers, the hopefully you will get to check out the insides the way you want.

Fredericksburg is a combination camper and boat show.....was not impressed with the 1 time I went to that.
