Hi to all out there

Just joined. I have just purchased a Forest River Surveyor Select TT. First outing in hot weather and the Dometic Thermostat refuses to work so no AC. What a bummer!

The new Dometic therms can be tricky. I had to read the manual twice to understand it....

Welcome to Forest River Forums!

Does your thermostat looks like this (in black or white)?

What have you tried? What are the symptoms? Do you see anything on the screen?

My thermometer does not look like this as shown. On the left of the LCD is: Fan, Cool, Heat
On the right of the LCD is only a "+" and "-"
Below the LCD is "Mode"
More than likely it is a newer model as my unit is a 2014 that arrived in August. I had ordered it in
early June.

Have you tried to push the mode button? Bring the LED light down to AC the + - keys are the temp.

I found that mine (appears to be the same thermostat) only requires some patience I thought mine wasn't working until I had it on and got side tracked on something else and it finally started up. Turned out it needed a little time to think it over before starting up.

I had not noticed the awwall's link as I an trying to figure out how to use this Forum.

This morning I finally have an error code which is listed in the manual: E1

What I wonder about is that my SIL disconnected the electric cable in the AC and water came out. This could have caused a short after the AC was running correctly from Monday PM until I discovered a blinking "88" Saturday morning with an unknown code of UJ showing up.

Where did water come out from? If it came out of a drain tube and ran across the roof, this is normal due to normal AC condensation being removed from the air. If it came out of the circuit box where the wiring connects you need to determine how water is getting in there. 88 could mean th eunit is faulted out and the entire display is flashing (not an actual code). The manual does not list UJ, I will see if I can find anything on this.

Right about that. At least I had an error code this morning that was actually in the manuel. I do know that while the AC worked, water did flow off the roof.

I''ll call service on Tuesday.

Probably a good move you wouldn't want to take a change on frying your circuits, plus doing much on your own could trash the warranty.

Since I only took delivery August 13th, I'll let the service department take care of it. I sure do not want to mess things up with the warranty. At least I had AC for 5 days, roasted 3 and now cooler weather is on its way.
