Question Hi Y'all! New Texas owners, and question.

I'm Lauri. Our family is currently in the process of purchasing our first ever trailer. We've selected a used 2011 Fifth Wheel Wildcat bunkhouse. We're thrilled to be new owners! We looked at many trailers, and the Wildcat had the best overall quality and room we found. We only have one problem though. We're pulling with a 2008 Dodge Ram 3500 Megacab dually 4X4. We've selected a Pullrite Superglide 16K as our hitch of choice. We have not taken delivery yet, but we need to order a capture plate for it. The dealership is a ways away (We pick it up Monday), so I can't drive there to look myself. trying to get someone there to go out and look isn't working for some reason. Does anyone have any idea what the manufacturer and model number is for the pin box on that specific trailer? I've put in a private message to Chris here as well.

Can't wait to get out there, and possibly meet some more fine folks with Forest River trailers. We're excited to learn and get going!!

Welcome... With that rig you'll be drinking from the firehose! (Learning fast!) I hope you enjoy your camping experiences as much as we do... and I hope you have as few trailer issues as we have had... or even fewer!

Where it Texas?

Thanks Schrederman!! We're in the DFW Metroplex. Northwest Fort Worth. Not too far from your stomping grounds, actually! We've been looking out that way for some land, actually. Tired of big city life.

Thanks DutchF! Gorgeous rig by the way! Can't wait to get ourselves hooked up and take some pics once we get our setup installed.

Yep, we have our home base in Burleson. I'm fortunate to be able to work anywhere I have an internet connection. Which is... well, pretty much anywhere.

No, but locally we have stayed at:

Jellystone (used to be Rustic Creek), on I-35. Used to be very nice, but has gotten a bit too commercial for our tastes.

Dinosaur Valley State Park in Glen Rose - we really liked it.

Fort Parker, in Mexia - we really liked it.

Lake Mineral Wells State Park - we liked it BUT, we had 9 scorpions and a Copperhead snake in our camp!

Other places we stayed are farther away. We are in El Paso now, at Ft Bliss MWR (RV park) and Saturday, we are heading to Alamogordo, NM (KOA) to visit with some friends before we return home, next week.

Next month we head out ona 3,600+ mile trip to Boston and back (with plenty of stops along the way.
