Hola Buenas Noches
Hi Folks,
I'm Grommit, I'm from the UK. I live in Cornwall in the south west of England where I run a small campsite from March to November each year. After that I come here to the sunny Costa Blanca in Spain where I spend the winter on a large campsite in my Savoy fifth wheel. I've joined this community because I'm hoping to change my 5er this year, obviously to a Forest River.
I'll be asking lots of questions if you don't mind of you FR folk hopefully helping my decision what to buy etc.
If you need any info about camping, or anything in the UK I'll try and help.
As we say back home
"Cheers, get 'em in it's your round"!!
G

FWIW, the dealer we bought from in Ohio has shipped RVs overseas many different times (Qatar, Europe, etc.). Couch's RV Nation in Hamilton, Ohio. They are a wholesale dealer with very good prices.

OK great.
Next question, then.
What ROAD do you travel on to get your RV from England to Spain??

I would say the M20 through the Chunnel then pick up A16 in Calais and head south.
Just hit up Google maps

Hi again
So, we have a small European motorhome that we travel in. We get the ferry from Portsmouth which takes 24 hours to Santander in the north of Spain. You can view some interesting youtube videos of the journey across the Bay of Biscay! From there it is 650 miles south, heading east of Madrid (a fantastic place) arriving at our campground near Alicante. Our Savoy lives here year round as it works out more economical for us to leave it here. British roads are not good for big rigs, the traffic is not worth the stress. So in 30 hours from home I can be under the awning with a cold beer. Taking the route through France would take 3 days!
Cheers
