Smile Houston - The Eagle Has Landed

We just bought our 2013 Coachman Freedom Xpress 302FKV 2 days ago. We'll be taking it out this weekend for our shakedown checkout.

We were not impressed with the dealer, if Forest River is reading this post you can contact me for details, as they are not up to par with the product knowledge during walkdown.

Hope all goes well this weekend, we'll see.......

We bought a Freedom Express 233RBS about a month ago. Took a four day shake out trip. Our dealer was less than stellar (also in Texas) but we love the trailer.

So where in Houston?

We're at the Lake Livingston KOA this weekend, our second trip in our V-Lite. We bought it at the Houston RV show from Ron Hoover and were fortunate that our sale was done by Tony Clark who is actually their service manager at the Katy Fwy location. Talk about product knowledge, he's great and his business card includes his personal cell number which we have already used several times. Our walk though was done by Raul who also seems to know his stuff. We can't begin to remember everything they showed us. It's a major information overload for us so we really do appreciate their call us right away with any questions approach. Who did you buy from and what are your concerns?

Got our rig from Lone Star on Gulf Fwy S. The walk through was less than 30 minutes. If we were not previous owners, I would have no clue on how to work this thing. Basically, Pete, the tech just stood around and only when we asked what's this did he explain and sometimes it was incorrect information.
They are very quick to it cannot be done, eg, "cannot hang the TV because the slides would hit it on its way in", the manufacturer would not design it this way. I was able to hang the TV after callling Coachman for locating the backwall panel location and size.
Overall, not as impressed as our first RV dealer. They took 2 hours and explained everything, including how to winterize the rig.
could go on and on but won't......
