Howdy from Louisiana!

Hello everyone! Dave & Kelly from sw La. Researching a new 5ver and figured out I joined this forum sometime back. We have a 28 ft cardinal bumper pull(10 years, local only), but we expect delivery on a Sandpiper 355RE in 3 weeks.
Going to pull it with a 2500 Duramax and B&W companion hitch. Like what I've seen, and I know forums are full of people who've already had my problems and solved them, and don't mind sharing knowledge!
Any advice on this setup?

Welcome from New Iberia, LA.

CMSgt, if you like state parks, try Palmetto Island State Park near Abbeville, LA or if you like resort type try Cajun Palms just east of Lafayette on I10.

Glad someone mentioned Toledo...that's one place we haven't checked out yet.

We're gonna be at Claiborne in exactly 30 days though!

This has been one long, hard, ugly winter...time to camp already!

We got a 2014 355re Sierra at the end of January and have been staying in Florida for the winter. We have had soooo many complaints and we just love it!! Looks just like yours or at least in the book it does. Pulls great too. It's long but the same as all others till you turn so swing like a semi. 😁 Enjoy!!

Assume spell check got you on compliments! Lol!
Ordered ours two weeks + a wknd ago. Dealer says weather has them backed up, so another two weeks of impatiently waiting! Easter trip planned, so we're hoping! Campers have same interior, just colors are different. Seriously considered Sierra, but have known Piper dealer for a few years! Congratulations! Camp On!

Welcome from Pine Prairie, LA. Originally from Natchitoches, wife from Pine Prairie, and have a place west of Florien near Toledo Bend.

I've always wondered how many people on this forum I've walked past in a campground and didn't know it. I will be putting a FR Forum decal and user name on the camper somewhere, and maybe I'll meet up with somebody. We already got to meet up with a forum member from Missouri while we were at Cajun Palms once.

Lol yes compliments!! Auto correct got me good!! Lol I also took the 4 foot carpet board out with the 4 screws by the door with all the valves. I know it's new but you wouldn't believe all the storage room there is. I use it for stuff I don't use much but don't want to clutter up the rest of my storage. The bathroom floor squeaked so I went in there to beef up support and it did help a lot and saw the extra storage. :0)
