new here, I'm TJ, my wife and I love camping. just bought a Flagstaff pop-up camper. hope to get many years of good service from it.

Welcome from another fellow Missourian. Close to you is the Corps of Engineers campground (Ray Behrens) at Mark Twain Lake. One of our favorite "local" places to camp. That might be a good spot for your first "shakedown" trip.

X2 Camped at Ray Behrens a couple of weeks ago and went swimming at the beach down the road from 'the Landing'. (been there many times).
tjcreed, you will like this campground. Marina and visitors center and a nice swimming beach. Being from 'Mexico' you may/should already know that.
