Howdy from Phoenix

Well, my wife and I finally pulled the money out of the 401K and purchased a 2010 Rockwood Signiture Ultralight 5th wheel.
Plan is to retire in December and start with short trips until we get settled in the 5th wheel.
We looked at several and found this unit... really happy as the young couple that owned it took very good care and were good record keepers with all information related to the 8265WS fifth wheel...
Being so hot here in Phoenix during summer makes having some way of escaping the heat almost mandatory!
We thank all of you for your posts that we have been reading for several months.
I will try to attach a photo...

Congrats on your new toy. I've learned that it doesn't matter if you have a pup or fifth wheel the members are great for all sorts of good info. Time for a road trip!

RCPETTY, welcome and enjoy the ability to escape from the heat, even if only a weekend at a time until retirement.

pt1655, I think we're neighbors. At least for this part of the country.

hidee ho RodeoGeorge

Hello RodeoGeorge!
You're the first forum member we've encountered from our neck of the woods so to speak. My Dad lived in Mesa for 25 years before he passed away a few years ago so I know Phoenix fairly well. At least Cabella's, Bass Pro shop and Culvers burgers on Deer Valley Rd. We try and get down that way for some real shopping once or twice a year as we don't have nearly the stores up here or in Flagstaff like where you live.
We hope you enjoy your camping! If you ever camp at the KOA'S in Willimas or Flag, just look for our FRF sticker; maybe we'll be there at the same time as you!
Pete

Thanks, funny you should mention Williams... We are planning on our first actual trip to the KOA on exit 167 by the deer farm over Labor Day. Will look for your sticker FRF. Can't wait for some cooler weather!

Thought we might run up to the KOA over Labor Day, but checked and they are booked that weekend.

Hope you have your reservations.
