Howdy from Simi Valley CA.

First off you guys are the BEST! Been lurking here for a while, learned a ton of stuff, finally decided to come out from behind the couch.
I've been tent camping for too many moons and the sticks and stones were really wearing on my bones, so DW gave her blessing to jump up to a TT. The adventure begins in about 2 weeks. We are to pick up a Rockwood Roo 23SS in Oklahoma City OK. and camp our way back. I can't say enough good things about this forum! It's really given us an edge in preparing for our next phase of fun.THANKS TO ALL OF YOU

Welcome to FRF and to the "Roo Kroo"!!

we used to live in Camarillo and i know "Slimy" Valley quite well.

we too, traveled to the Midwest to get our '07 Roo 23SS because prices are so much cheaper and we also camped on the way back.

contact Gregg Rollins at FR and he'll find local dealers to do warranty work.

good to see another Califorinian 23SS!
i was beginning to think i was the only one out here.

the 23SS has probably been the most Modded hybrid out there. lots of 23SS owners that have pics and ideas.

if i can be of any help with your 23SS, send me a PM.

Hi Dan,
Pleased to make your acquaintance. I've been following a lot of your threads and you really know your stuff. I see you hail from Napa now- are you a grape stomper- ha ha. Actually I'm jealous, that's beautiful up there. We are excited about the Roo and the adventure to go get it! We couldn't find anyone in all of the L.A. area that even comes close to RVW. So far they are great. Thanks for the warm welcome!

actually, i really miss surfing and the beaches in Ventura County!
surfing up here is a different thing, dangerous and very cold.

Napa's nice but i grew up here before moving to SoCal for 30 years. so, i don't get all excited about it like others do.

we almost bought from RVW but found our 23SS for less money, better interior decor and closer to us, at House of Camping outside of Chicago.

4000 mile round trip but we saved over $4000, even after trip costs.
