Post Howdy from Tornado Alley!

She Who Must Be Obeyed (SWMBO) and I just purchased a 2014 FR3 25DS. Haven't even taken the maiden voyage yet. I grew up in RVs. Transitioned from tents on the ground to towed trailers (various model/sizes) to pickup campers (Alaskan) finally arriving at a 5th wheel. Mom and Dad, however, didn't like motor homes. My wife, Bev, grew up in motels - she's totally new to the lifestyle.

Joining the Forum for fellowship and education. Sure I can learn a lot from folks who've "been there, done that". Along with our new motor home we also traded in her Trailblazer on a Ford Escape Hybrid as our toad.

Looking forward to our "Maiden Voyage" this coming weekend up to the Olathe, Kansas area. No campgrounds in the area really, so we're booked at the state park at Lake Hillsdale - South of Olathe. Looking forward to it.

So HOWDY Y'all (yes, we really DO talk that way).

And post some pictures of your rig at the park this weekend - we love photos!

Thanks, we will. So far the only shots we've taken were when we bought it and with it in storage. Looking forward to many more to come. I've even created a Facebook page to document our travels for our close friends and family.

P.S. I like your avatar. I'm a Vietnam Veteran as well. USMC. When people ask me what my MOS was I always reply with "Humper". I started out humping a PRC radio, ended up humping a Sousaphone.

Thanks battle buddy! I can relate "humper!"

At Goshen, remind me to tell you the story about my 4th week (that week in basic training where folks from different AFSCs (MOS) came around and "recruited" folks for their specialties
