Howdy Y'all!

We are Russ and KK Jones along with assorted kids and grands. We have been rv owners for a little over a year now and have just fallen in love with the lifestyle. So much so that we have sold off the excess "stuff" and the house is on the market We had been very set on getting an Open Range 427BHS until just last week. We decided for grins and giggles just to see what kinds of changes were going on for 2014 in other lines. In doing so we stumbled upon the Sabre 36QBOK and fell in love! Over the weekend Russ and I took off for Genuine RV in Nacogdoches, TX (about 7 hours from where we live) to get a look at the Sabre and the Open Range side by side. It didn't take much to realize that the Sabre had much more of what we really wanted for living the lifestyle we desire. So after reading a great deal of valuable information here we figured we better join up! We have a Silverado 3500 DRW as our TV and are chomping at the bit to be on the road!

Welcome to the forum. We considered an Open Range as well but felt the Sabre had more bang for the buck. We are happy with our decision. Hope you have many years of memorable experiences in yours and ask away on this forum. So many knowledgeable people ready to lend a hand.

Hey Russ and KK, hope we run across each other one day. sounds like we are in much the same place as far as selling the house. We live between Dallas and Ft.Worth.

Thanks everyone! We are one step closer to getting on the road now. The house is under sale contract and we expect to close in early October! Once we have those funds in the account we will be making a beeline for Genuine and buying our rig! From there we are headed to Texas Renaissance Faire and then back here to finish up loading up our new home. After that? Christmas in DFW and then we will see where the winds take us. Looking forward to meeting some y'all down the road!

Congrats on the new Sabre from New Braunfels! We love our Sabre 31RKOK! We are wanting to do the same thing and sell our house and hit the road. Good Luck!

Best of luck with your new Sabre.
Might I suggest you research the importance of having a good PDI at the dealer. There are check lists available to help you out. It helps to stay near the dealer the first night or two and check out all the systems and bells & whistles.
Have fun!
