Howdy Ya'll from Florida

So the wife and I picked up our new to us 2010 26FKSS to start our camping adventures. We have an F250 SD to tow with. We are 5 years from retirement and want to check out the different types of rv's before deciding what type we want to full time in. We plan to travel around chasing the Nascar circuit for a couple of years and just bugging the heck out of our kids, all in different states, for awhile after retirement. Then maybe we will decide to grow up and be responsible adults again (NOT)!! We live in between Daytona Beach and Orlando. I am retired Army and now fixing to retire from civil service, she is an RN. We would fully appreciate any campground recommendations near to us for our first trip out in 2 weeks. If you have tips or advice on our particular TT I would certainly appreciate them. I am very mechanically inclined, a maintenance nut, and very handy with any tool unless it involves working with wood. We look forward to meeting some of you along the way. So please feel free to holler at us, stop by for a cup of joe or a COLD refreshing adult beverage.
Rob & Carla

I can't help with a camping spot near you, but I can give you a big ole welcome to FRF and to the camping community.

Being mechanically inclined will definitely help in the RV world, no matter which unit you have. And you'll get to hone your wood working skills a little too. We all like to make little things to make live easier.

Welcome from TN, but be forewarned....."checking out" different RV'S can be confusing and expensive. We had the same game plan sir. I'm Retired Army, DW 4 yrs from medical civil service retirement then let's travel to see the kids. Three rigs later we spend most of the travel time, to bug the kids of course, discussing the options we want on the next trailer. Check out the military campgrounds around you first because you can probably get in this time of year. Closer to Christmas the snow birds completely occupy and already have reservations. Avon Park & Patrick fam camp would be my recommendations.
