Illinois Campers

Hi, we are newbies to trailer camping. We tented for years and now have a Flagstaff. We are in O'Fallon Il and camp at Carlyle and Rend, but will venture out this spring to Florida. Any advice or tips?

Welcome aboard. I'm sure you can and will get all kind of great information here on the forums.

Psssst. I'm going to let you in on a little secret. All the cool campers own Flagstaffs.

Welcome from Maryland. If you have dogs and they will be traveling to Florida with you, call ahead. Some places don't allow multiples, other places determine by pounds and most won't allow certain breeds. There's a good web site for Florida Campgrounds. I usually stay at KOAs. They're less pet restrictive and usually have a dog park. Enjoy your travels and stay safe.

Welcome from Florida! There are a lot of different types of RV parks, campgrounds, and state parks here. What part of the state do you plan to visit? Kids or no kids? That all makes a difference with where you will stay and what you will plan to do.

Fighting with Dodge to get a truck to pull it with. They put in 3.21 axles and I paid for 3.55s. They are buying my truck back now.
