Intro

We are Gene & Betty from Mission TX. We are looking at a Microlite 21FBRS. We were on the road for 12yrs in a 40' MH. Currently off the road now but are looking for limitted travel back to Ohio and short trips in TX. I have half ton Silverado with a 4.8 V8. Looking for some input from folks with the same combo.

Gene

You Decided On A Really Nice TT!

We really liked the Micro 21FBRS when seeing it at the RV show here in KC (Jan '13) but our TV couldn't handle it and didn't want to purchase both a new TT and TV. Nice rig you're getting and I am sure you will enjoy it. Congratulations!

Gene and Betty - we have the Mini Lite 2109S, same floor plan. Picked it up early last March. We absolutely love it! Have had no problems with it.

A couple of things we did was to add a 2-1/2 in temperpedic style topper on the mattress and used 2 hose guide rings (like the ring that holds the shower hose) to each side at the bottom of the window at the head of the bed. We added 24 inch sheers (from JCP) to the windows (but not the kitchen window), using the really lightweight curtain rods from Wally World. The rods will "pop" in behind the rods that are there. Also added a channel just above the hem of the curtains over the bed for the bottom rod, as well as a channel just above the bottom of the sheers. The rods, when extended, sit very well inside the hose guide rings and keep the curtains from waving over our faces. Bought the hose guide rings at United RV in Fort Worth for $1 each - online prices were about $3 each. The rings come in clear, white, polished nickel and chrome. (We're using the clear ones.) They are anchored with Command Hook strips and have been on since March.

Curtain count: (they come in 2 panels/package). 4 over the bed, one on each side near the foot of the bed, and 3 for the window behind the sofa.

Wishing you the best with your new TT. Hope you have many happy travels!
