Plugged in or disconnect the battery. We leave ours plugged in and the fridge on AC during camping season and remove the battery in the winter

Welcome to the forum. Yes you can keep the tt plugged in but check the water level in battery periodically. I keep mine plugged all the time. Later RJD

One other question do I also need to leave the red key next to the battery in the on position?
