Isata 3 24FW vs FR 2401W

Hi all. I have just joined on as a new forum member. Looking to purchase new or newer used Dynamax Isata 3 (24FW) or similar in the FR MBS 2401W.

Trying to differentiate between the two other than color options is difficult. I understand Dynamax and Forest River have similar ownership and are built in different facilities. Any thoughts on which makes a better quality product or reasons to consider one over the other? Cost differences experienced?

Welcome to the forum,
Congratulations on your decision to join us and soon take ownership of the Dynamax. I'm not knowledgeable enough to answer your questions pertaining to the RV your considering purchasing. Here's hoping you have fun with family and friends building lasting memories of a lifetime. Also stay safe and Happy RVing from Farmer NC

Hi Pjeoutwest,

I just purchased a 2016 new Dynamax 24FWM. Taking delivery tomorrow! I think the Dynamax is a step up in trim level over the FR. I did look at both and have previously owned a 34 Dynamax XL and Fleetwood Icon (sprinter). This Dynamax was my second choice. The Winnebago View had the upgraded sprinter options and a nicer finish. They don't make the large side slide and have the queen bed available other than the rear slide. Also, the price difference on the Winnebago amounted to costing me $32,000 more!! That's after exhaustive and extensive shopping around. The Dynamax is really well done and will suit its purpose as designed very well. So it became my first choice!

We looked at and compared the Dynamax Isata to the Forest River Sunseeker when looking for our class C MH. Basically, they are the same in most respects: frame, engine, layout, capacities. The real difference, that we saw, was the trim. The Isata was prettier inside, had more led lights and (fake) walnut trim on the dash and came with a solar charger. What I could not cope with was the $20K higher price tag for (basically) the same rig. We purchased the Sunseeker 2400R model.
