Joining the RV Crowd
Hi from NC. We just picked up a 2015 Puma 30FQSS, this is our first RV and we are looking forward to a new adventure. We are working on outfitting it and learning all about the unit.

I am in the Siler City area, looking for our first weekend trip, probably should be somewhere not too far from home.

Within an hour of silver city are several good choices: Crosswinds family campground in Linwood. If you want a membership campground (requires a tour if not a member or not camping with a member) check out Sycamore Lodge in Jackson springs. Or there is Jones station in mebane. If you want to do water/ electric camping you can hit Jordan lake (either poplar point or crosswinds).

Less than an hour away from you is Oak Hollow lake in High Point. Full hookup. beautiful lake views, fastest WIFI you will ever find, lots of stores and restaurants within minutes if you so desire. It's a first come first served but this time of year I don't think you would have any competition. We bring our Kayaks and paddle around all day.
