Just bought new FR - Prime Time LaCrosse

Just traded an old FR Grand Surveyor 270 for a new LaCrosse 301RLS. Plan to use it mainly for snowbirding in AZ and CA (from snowy Ontario). Really impressed with the floor plan and great storage facilities - although we wanted more outside storage (GS270 was great for this) as I take 2 motorcycles and 2 MTBs when we travel so I have lots of (dirty) gear to store somewhere . All the new trailers we looked at only seemed to offer a pass through storage so we had to compromise.

Should get the trailer in a week or so and will head out for a shakedown trip. We made a big mistake a few years back when we bought a new Sunnybrook 5th wheel after selling our house and took off for a 2 year trip. Our first stop in Colorado was an eye opener as rain poured in during the daily thunderstorms. We had numerous stopovers at dealers around the country for warranty repairs and had a couple of pages of issues when we returned to "base" 12 months later. No more heading out with an untried rig for me ....

Congrats on the New Prime Trime LaCrosse! More storage is always good. Maybe someday our paths will cross here in sunny Southern California - just keep an eye out for that FRF member sticker.

Great choice for "Living within my means" and camping for one...
